We all know the huge benefits of getting the kids outside in the fresh air and I often remember my childhood of enjoying playing outside with friends. As adults, we still enjoy being active with friends but often with our busy life and work commitments don’t have the time or opportunity to do so. Group exercise outdoors can provide us with an opportunity to feel young and physically active with others.
For me the most important reason to train outside in a group is because it’s fun.
You’ll laugh, you’ll sweat, you’ll work hard, much harder than you realise and in no time at all it’s all over, you’re energized, refreshed and ready to face the world.
A benefit of group exercise especially for women, being as we’re social creatures is the social aspect. You can make friends with people of similar interests, you can bond over your goals of becoming fit and healthy.
Whether it’s with people you know or making new friends, motivation and support is all around you. You’ll have the support and sometimes burden of getting to your workout and getting through it, the accountability factor.
A common reason for quitting exercise is boredom.
Most women know that exercise is good for them and want to begin exercising. However, they don’t know the first step to take. They are bombarded with information but receive little guidance on how to initiate. This can be very overwhelming, especially with our already hectic lives. Exercising with me in one of my Women only Boot Camps offers a workout for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Participants do not need to know how to develop a safe and effective workout or which machines to use for how long. You simply have to take the plunge and show up with a positive attitude, participate, and most importantly have fun.
